At the Central Hotel, we want to give every guest that stays with us the peace of mind to know their health and wellbeing is our very top priority.

Our hotel has always had rigorous standards for cleaning and safety. And, during the COVID-19 Pandemic, we have worked with our housekeepers to deliver hygiene protocols over and above the government restrictions and recommendations.

In a world Post COVID, your health and safety remain our priority and we will continue to do what we do best as hoteliers.

  • We have changed the way we communicate pre-stay to give guests peace of mind that health, safety, and hygiene is top of our minds.

  • Physical distancing protocols have been rolled out in all shared spaces.

  • Check-in and Check-out look a little different because we’ve implemented controls to reduce direct contact with our team and guests, at the time of writing we are in the process of implementing an app for check-in and check out and more.

  • We have suspended our continental buffet breakfast service.

  • Our team including our housekeepers will not enter your room during your stay with us except if required to enter for a maintenance issue or an emergency.

  • COVID-19 appropriate signage (including hand hygiene and cough etiquette messaging) has been introduced.

  • Sanitation levels have been increased in the hotel across all high traffic, high touchpoints, and shared area surfaces. We also increased the frequency of cleans in public bathrooms, toilets, and public areas.

  • Hand sanitiser stations are now located in common areas and at key touchpoints like at the entry and exit of the hotel.

  • We decluttered unnecessary items from hotel rooms – extra pillows, blankets, decorative items.

  • Once a guest checks out of the hotel, high touchpoints in rooms are given extra attention.

  • All staff have been given the appropriate PPE gear. At the time of writing, masks remain voluntary unless dependent on current legislation.

From our bar to our back offices to our hotel rooms, we continue to stem the spread of bacteria through strong hand hygiene management and heightened surface and floor disinfectant protocols.

  • Deep cleans post-stay have been elevated from commercial grade to hospital-grade.

  • We are in the process of introducing no-touch tech solutions – like an app for virtual check-in and checkout and QR Codes for our hotel directory and bar menu – to help minimise contact and reduce the transmission of germs.

We give you our firm promise as hoteliers that, when you stay with us, we will look after you.  We will continue to monitor the situation and will adjust our processes when necessary.
